FreedomDocs is looking for a Receptionist to join our team in our medical office.
Qualifications Required
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Professional and friendly demeanor when interacting with patients and healthcare professionals
- Ability to manage and multitask
- Great attention to detail
- Experience with electronic health records (EHR)
- Basic knowledge of medical terminology, processes, and office procedures
Role and Responsibilities
- Acting as Host to a premier Direct Primary Care in central Indiana
- Greeting patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner ensuring they have a positive experience
- Providing ideas and recommendations on improving brand experience
- Obtain, verify, and enter all required information from patients including demographic, insurance, credit cards, FAA documents and class
- Providing information about the facility's services, policies, and procedures
- Scan and index incoming documents to the patient's Elation chart or company filing system
- Provide positive and courteous customer service over the phone, while maintaining a professional presence at all time
- Filling where needed to assure excellent member experience
- All other duties as assigned
Essential Duties
- Managing the appointment and Google “out of office” calendar
- Answer telephone/retrieving messages from Spruce promptly and professionally.
- Maintain the waiting area, providing a warm and welcoming atmosphere for new and returning patients
- Schedule office appointments in computer system
- Collect copayments and process all incoming payments
- Organizing and maintaining patient medical records
- Collaborating with other members of the healthcare team, including nurses, physicians and other administration staff .
- Notifying appropriate internal personnel in case of emergencies or urgent situations
- Coordinate physician communications with members, other providers, or outside constituents as directed by in-house doctors or Clinical Office Manager
